A native of Massachusetts, Carole Chisholm Garvey received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and continued at the DeCordova Museum and Arts/Wayland Foundation. Currently she teaches at the Cape Museum of Fine Art, The Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod and the Cape Cod Art Association.
Using traditional New England tonalities, Carole creates serene visions of our landscape; from the winding riverbanks of the Sudbury to the shifting shores and dunes of Cape Cod. "I have a joy in and an addiction to the flexibility and immediacy of pastel.
