"Houses and homes have always been in my work. The more I painted them, the more I realized that they are like people - revealing or concealing what's inside. I paint them alone, huddled in neglected pea patches, or batched together in community." -Jamie Johnson Jamie Johnson spent twelve years making her living as a jeweler. In April 2004 she made her final pair of earrings, and with that a jump into the complete life of an artist, painting hundreds and thousands of houses. The series, "1000 Houses", is painted one by one on small blocks of wood cut and prepared by her husband, is a work in progress. Represented at West Main Street: 508.349.7939
