Chuck Malzenski attended the University of Hartford Art School, where he created mostly pop art until he discovered the Hudson River Valley School of Art. With this discovery he began painting landscapes. He first had a fascination with mountains and their volume, followed by the incorporation of clouds and the atmospheric presence seen in the collection here.
