| Fred Perreault is a native of Orleans - an 8th generation Cape Codder. He has been actively working with wood for over 30 yers, advancing from a part-time home hobbyist to a more accomplished craftsman. His turnings are made from local woods, including locust, red oak, various maples, white oak, red cedar, black walnut, cherry, poplar, hickory and ash. Fred's career as a heavy equipment operator allows him to know where the better local woods might be found. The wood he uses is recovered from nearby job sites and road improvements.
