"My attraction to places by water may have begun with my childhood vacations to Adirondack Mountain lakes. While still young, I moved to the Florida coast.
In the summer of 1978, I vacationed on Cape Cod. Since then the Atlantic coast has been at the center of my work. The light and space near the ocean is expansive and the colors can be brilliant or nearly monochromatic. Forms are given a stage to take on new significance.
