Always having loved creating art, Peter Dransfield developed his passion for sculpture while attending Skidmore College, in Saratoga Springs, New York. After graduating from Skidmore College in 2002 with a BS in studio art, his love for sculpture and the outdoors landed him in Montana. During his time out west, Pete apprenticed with artist Mitch Billis and worked in his fine art bronze foundry. It was here that he learned the skills to be a bronze artist and allows him to personally work on every step of his sculptures. He now lives in Portland with his fiancé and teaches sculpture and bronze casting at the Maine College of Art. In addition to teaching, he is actively sculpting, and casts bronze at a foundry in West Bath, Maine.
