12"x12" cyanotype print on birch panel
"I strive to capture the layers of the human spirit and how our relationships are reflected in treasured objects, daily rituals and patinated surfaces." -Suzanne Moseley
These cyanotype prints are contemporary take on an old solar printing process from the 1870s. Suzanne experiments with photo negatives and live plant matter to build painterly layers, yielding a wide color range. Her beach elements—sand crab patterns, oysters, shellfish netting, marsh reeds—are layered in the shapes of coastal tides and sea foam shapes.
